Universal American's Go Green Program is designed to identify the ways in which we impact the environment and to focus on various steps that we can take to reduce this impact. The company sponsored research and discussions of the relevant issues and came up with a list of "to-do’s." Happily, a survey of the different Universal American locations revealed that many items on the to-do list had already been done. Each location strives to meet or beat the goals set in the to-do list, and there are many examples of local initiatives supporting our Go Green Program.

A parallel mission is to educate and inspire employees to increase their awareness of their individual ability to support a cleaner environment. We also encourage our employees to take pride in Universal American and themselves for doing so.
